Dermal Fillers are a gel like substance made of Hyaluronic Acid. This ingredient occurs naturally within our skin and gives it hydration and plumpness. It’s not surprising that as we age, we produce less of this, which then contributes to the physical signs of ageing.

Dermal fillers can be used to restore volume loss within the cheeks, smooth out the lines that run from nose to mouth (nasolabial folds), soften smoker’s lines around the mouth, upturn the corners of the mouth and lessen the appearance of the marionette lines. There are a number of advanced dermal filler techniques used at Effortless Aesthetics to create the ‘liquid face lift’ and this is extremely popular. An advanced technique using a micro cannula also keeps any bruising and swelling to an absolute minimum and ensures your safety is our priority.

We can inject dermal fillers into the area known as the ‘Tear Trough’, just below the eyes to correct the sunken appearance that can show as we age. The reduction in volume in this area can lead to a tired look and this can be corrected easily with the use of a filler called Rednesity II by Teoxane. The maximum amount of 1ml across both sides cannot be exceeded in one treatment session, and further syringes may be required after 4 weeks. The results will improve significantly over this time which is why we do not over treat in the first session. This procedure carries more obvious risks than others being so close in proximity to the eyes so it’s important that you have a thorough consultation with our Nurse Prescriber prior to making a decision.

Some swelling and bruising can be expected with dermal filler injections. At Effortless Aesthetics we will give you clear aftercare advice to help keep these to a minimum and ensure the longevity and effectiveness of your treatment.
