What is the OPATRA DOME Advanced Facial Skin Analysis?
Our skin analysis consultations allow us to analyse your skin health in depth and deliver personalised skincare recommendations from our leading experts at our medical aesthetics clinic in Westgate-On-Sea, Kent.

Skin analysis involves looking closely at the skin’s texture, tone, hydration levels and sun damage to create an individualised treatment plan. Your skin analysis consultation will begin with a discussion with one of our experienced skin specialists to determine your skin history, problems and goals.

We will then use our state-of-the-art digital imagery device, the Opatra® DOME Facial Skin Analyser to clinically measure the surface and subsurface of the skin using RGB visible light, PL polarised light and UV spectrum imaging technology.

This skin analysis machine is Suitable for all skin types.

How does the facial skin analyser work?
The skin analysis uses advanced technology to capture high-definition images of the skin.

The device works by illuminating the skin with different types of light to reveal underlying skin conditions.

We can evaluate the following conditions:

Pore size
Brown or red skin lesions including freckles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation and vascular lesions
Percentage of wrinkles and future wrinkles
Current dermis layer grease secretion and blackhead distribution
Pigmentation
Skin moisture status in the dermis
Skin sensitivity
UV damage
Skin ageing- prediction of skin status in the next 3-5 years when not enhancing any skin care treatments/products for current skin problems

Potential side effects?
There are no associated side effects when using a skin analysis machine. The process is completely safe and painless.

What is included in my appointment?
Your appointment includes an in-depth assessment and discussion with one our highly experienced Aesthetic Nurse Practitioners regarding your skin scan analysis results, we will then provide you with a detailed treatment plan with recommendations on take home products and in-clinic skin treatments. This may include a range of medical grade skin care products from brands such as Obagi Medical, ZO, Heliocare, or Glo Skin. Alongside professional treatments such as Microneedling, Profhilo, Skin Boosters, Chemical Peels and HIFU. You may also require prescription topical products such as the Obagi Clear and Tretinoin.

At our clinic we recommend a range of evidence-based, clinically formulated skincare products to tackle specific skin care concerns. We select the best products from medical-grade skincare brands to suit your individual needs.

Four and Eight-weekly review appointments are then scheduled to monitor the results of our treatment/product recommendations.
